Turn & Surf Zumba

Nurture & Flow: Prenatal Yoga

Designed for all stages of pregnancy, this class provides a safe, welcoming space to connect with your body and your baby. We combine gentle movement, strength-building, and specialized breathing techniques to ease pregnancy discomforts and prepare you for labor. No prior yoga experience is required. Click HERE.

Y Challenge

Come join us for the 5th annual Y Challenge for a morning of fun, movement, challenge, and connection with friends from all across the Association! The Y Challenge is a 60-minute timed interval Challenge with stations incorporating core, bodyweight cardio, upper and lower body strength, and endurance. Equipment will consist of dumbbells, kettlebells, mats, and props. The workout will be familiar to active Y members, but all members with a base level of fitness will find success in the Challenge. The Y Challenge is a free event, but registration is required. All members are welcome to participate, but SPOTS ARE LIMITED! Click HERE.

Couch to 5K

You don’t need to be a fast runner to successfully prepare for your first 5K ? the goal is simply to gradually get your body comfortable running and walking about 3.1 miles. Our Couch to 5K program includes a structured training plan, incredible community and coaching support, a progress tracker, group meet-ups, and more. Best of all, C25K training is open to the entire community at no cost, and participants do not have to register for the Y It Matters 5K & Fun Run to take part in training. Parkinson’s Moving Day – Hosted by the Parkinson’s Foundation

Moving Day is an inspiring and empowering annual fundraising walk event that unites people around the country living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), their care partners and loved ones to help beat PD. Moving Day is more than just a walk. It’s a celebration of movement – proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. The YMCA of Greater Birmingham will be participating we invite you to be part of a meaningful day that supports the Parkinson’s community! Volunteers are essential to creating a welcoming and well-organized experience for participants and families. Common roles may include: Registration & Check-In, Route Guides, Water Stations, Set-Up & Tear-Down. Volunteer shifts are typically 2-4 hours. No experience is required and onsite guidance provided. Y It Matters 5K & Fun Run

The YMCA of Greater Birmingham Y It Matters 5K and Fun Run is back! Join us for a mostly flat course that takes participants along Birmingham’s Rotary trail. Start and finish by Good People Brewery. By running/walking in the Y It Matters 5K & Fun Run, you’re supporting critical programs serving youth, families and seniors throughout Central Alabama. The proceeds from the event will continue to benefit the children of Downtown Youth Center and Northeast Community YMCA. Click HERE.
