Grab your racquet and come play year-round on the only indoor tennis courts in the city, available at the Mountain Brook branch. We offer private lessons, adult and junior clinics, all indoors with no weather worries. For pricing and court reservations, please contact the tennis desk 205-445-2862.

Safe, caring, short-term membership childcare services for our youngest members while you hit the treadmill, swim some laps or head to your favorite Group X class. See your branch location page for hours and to make a reservation. (Infants 8 Weeks to Walking - 90 minute limit | Walking through Age 9 - 2 hour limit)
Lockers are available at all of our membership branch locations for day use. Several locations provide locker rental services for permanent use. Currently, we are asking members to provide their own towels.
We understand that sometimes it is more convenient for members to take advantage of a Y near their workplace or when they are traveling outside the area of their home Y. With Y Nationwide Membership, members have the flexibility to use participating Y facilities throughout the United States at no extra charge. An easy-to-learn game played on a court similar to a tennis court but half the size, pickleball is fun for players of all ages and activity levels.
Originating in 1950 and popularized in the 80's, racquetball is still enjoyed today by those devoted to the sport and its conditioning and recreational benefits. Contact your local branch for court availability and reservation information.
Take it outside on one of our outdoor walking trails available at the Alabaster, Shades Valley and Pelham branches.
Whether in our Indoor Pools or our covered and heated (seasonally) Outdoor Pools, year-round swimming is available at all branches for recreation swim, lap swimming, and programmed activities including Swim Team, Swim Lessons, and Water Aerobics. * Warm-water therapy pool also available at our Pelham branch
Youth ages 9-13 learn the basics of safety, proper exercise technique, and gym etiquette. The Free two-hour program is facilitated by YMCA fitness staff. Upon completion, students will receive a wristband allowing them to use specific cardio and selectorized machines on their own (parent/guardian must be in the facility)
