Welcome to the Shades Valley Y

Located on Highway 31 in Homewood, the Shades Valley YMCA was one of the first suburban branches built, in 1968. The facility received a major renovation in 2012 and continues to serve the community through adult health and wellness, school age childcare, active older adult and aquatic programming.

24-Hour Upgrade Available! Inquire today about upgrading to 24-Hour Access so you can use the Y during unstaffed hours, including early morning, late night and holiday! Staffed hours:

Pool closes 15 minutes prior to branch

Shades Valley features a seasonal heated outdoor recreational pool with lap swim lanes, zero-entry area, splash park, and slides, and a year-round heated 6-lane indoor pool. Our goal is to always provide lanes available for lap swimming.
