Workout on Your Schedule | Upgrade to 24-Hour Access

I. ELIGIBILITY & FEES

Age Requirement: 24-hour access is limited to active members ages 19 and older.

Fees: Members may upgrade their membership to include 24-hour access for $11 per Opted-In individual per month.

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: Prior to having access enabled, participants must agree to this 24-Hour Access Waiver and be in good standing with the YMCA. Once enabled, members who do not have an updated photo on file will be contacted for an updated photo. Though not required, all 24-Access Upgrades are encouraged to complete a quick orientation of information with a member service team member


II. HOW IT WORKS

Access Method: Use your existing YMCA barcode to scan into the facility.

Availability at Shades Valley & Hoover Branches: 24-hour access provides access to wellness areas including Fitness Center, Main Group Exercise Studio, Cycle Studio, and Restrooms (NI locker rooms).

Staffing: The YMCA is NOT staffed outside of standard operating hours. The YMCA uses Video and Audio surveillance for safety and security purposes - surveillance may not be actively monitored at all times.

Restricted Areas: The following areas are OFF LIMITS during unstaffed hours: Locker Rooms | Pools | Gymnasium | Track | Sauna/Steam/Whirlpools | Offices and Service Desks | Any other areas outside of the designated marked space.


III. 24-HOUR AGREEMENT & CODE OF CONDUCT

I agree to abide by the following 24-Hour Access Agreement and Member Code of Conduct. Violation of these rules will result in the immediate and permanent suspension of 24-Hour Access privileges without a refund.


IV. STRICTLY PROHIBITED ACTIONS

Guests: Guests are not allowed during unstaffed hours. Do not share your physical or digital barcode with others. Granting access to another individual (even a known member) is considered trespassing and will result in immediate termination of your membership. Legal action may be taken against you and the trespasser.

Tailgating: You must not allow others to enter the door behind you. Every individual must scan their own card for entry.

Prohibited Items: Weapons | Food and Drinks (except water)

Behavior: No profanity | No physical or verbal confrontations | No alcohol or drug consumption; do not enter the facility under the influence | No selling of merchandise or products | No harassment of other members.

Attire: Proper footwear is required. No open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip-flops.

Media/Tech:
- No taking photos or videos of other members.
- No use of cameras or phones in restrooms.
- No projecting phone calls or music (headphones/earbuds required).


V. SAFETY & EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

Use at Your Own Risk: As a member with 24-hour access, you acknowledge that you are using the Wellness Center at your own risk.

Video Surveillance: 24 HOUR FACILITIES USE VIDEO AND AUDIO SURVEILLANCE FOR SAFETY AND SECURITY PURPOSES - SURVEILLANCE MAY NOT BE ACTIVELY MONITORED AT ALL TIMES.

Emergency Contact: In the event of an emergency, use a cellphone to Dial 911.

Inclement Weather: During severe weather, facility services will not occur until staff arrive. Users enter at their own risk regarding weather conditions.

MEMBER AGREEMENT & WAIVER

• I understand I will be charged $11.00 per month per qualified Opted-In adult as part of my continuous membership plan


• I understand I must give a 30-day written notice to cancel this upgrade
  


• I understand that my access is exclusive to me, and I will not share my barcode or grant others access to the YMCA


• I acknowledge that violation of the Code of Conduct, including theft, trespassing (allowing others in), or conduct violations, will result in membership revocation without refund


• I agree to wipe down all equipment with disinfectant wipes before and after use.


• I understand that the YMCA of Greater Birmingham reserves the right to close 24-hour access for maintenance, special events, or safety reasons.
