Important Update About the Alabaster YMCA

After careful consideration, the YMCA of Greater Birmingham has made the difficult decision to close the Alabaster YMCA at the end of May 2026. Active members will continue to have access to this location through that date. Members are also encouraged to use the citywide access included with their membership at our other six locations. This decision does not change our strong commitment to the YMCA’s continued presence and programs across the Greater Birmingham area, including our Pelham, Hoover, Greystone, Mountain Brook, Shades Valley, and Trussville membership branches, as well the Northeast Community YMCA, Downtown Youth Center and Camp Cosby.
