My name is Andrea Pindroh, and I am the Healthy Living Director as well as a Personal Trainer at the Greystone YMCA. I graduated from Slippery Rock University with an Exercise Science degree in 2012. My name is Kristin Long. I'm a UAB Alumni but more importantly, I'm the CEO Mom of my household where I keep three very active and sporty teenagers in line. Through the YMCA, I teach YCross, YStrong, BOOTCAMP, YMove and I am Silver Sneaker Certified. When I was in high school and college. I have always been a health nut! Now, I run marathons for fun. My name is Nikki Lane. I am a Health Coach and Personal Trainer at the Greystone YMCA. I have worked as a trainer in both Knoxville and Birmingham for the past three years. I am certified through ACE. My passion for health and fitness began twenty years ago when a close member of my family began having health issues. I love working with members at all stages - from the beginner who has never touched a machine, to the competitive athlete who wants to build endurance and focus their strength. My Name is Shea Callahan, and I am a Health Coach/Personal Trainer and Zumba Instructor at the Greystone YMCA. I am certified through American Council on Exercise, AFFA, and Zumba Instructor Network . My passion for health and fitness grew with my love for dance which led me to Zumba. I have thoroughly enjoyed lifting spirits and having absolute fun instructing Zumba since 2010. Fitness is functional as well as beneficial especially when it’s fun. My personal experience with endocrine/metabolic issues only deepened my desire to learn more about the science of health in relation to nutrition/fitness. Holistic healing became my goal with proper nutrition and the added benefits of mobility through movement/fitness. The Intensity Scale below is provided to assist with class selection based on your current conditioning level and need. However, all classes will involve professional instruction on ways to adjust the intensity level in order to Modify or Intensify based on individual class participant needs – If Intensity is not listed in class name, the default is Intermediate.

Does your 10 year old want to workout with weights like mom and dad but know they have to be 14 to do so?
Not anymore! We offer a Youth Strength and Conditioning class designed to teach children ages 10-14 the benefits of strength/cardio training and how to use the equipment saftely and properly. Children will be coached by a certified personal trainer for 3-one hour sessions that you schedule at your convenience.
Once your child passes the class, he/she will receive a yellow wrist band that they are required to wear every time they come to the Y to workout. If they do not have their wrist band, for their safetyl, if they are under 14 years of age they will be asked to exit the weight/cardio room.
When: Days and times that are convenient with your schedules.
Where: The personal trainer will meet you and your child at the front desk.
Cost: $50 for 3-one hour sessions

Head Tennis Professional at the Greystone YMCA
Rennie started at the Greystone YMCA as a tennis court maintenance employee, in August of 2014. Tennis has always been a part of his life and wanted to become more than just a recreational activity. He started working with children in the childcare department and found his passion for teaching kids.
Rennie played all 4 years of high school on the varsity tennis team. He is now a certified teaching professional through USPTA. He graduated from Faulkner University with Bachelors in Business Administration. Rennie now serves as the Head Tennis Professional, where he is primarily responsible for junior player development. He also assists with the adult leagues, Chelsea high/middle school tennis programs, and overall program development. Rennie Benoit is a passionate athlete who loves to learn, play, and teach.
Play over small tennis nets and use red tennis balls, hand-eye coordination games, contests, introduce basic instruction. (Must have a minimum of 4 players for 1.5 hr clinic, otherwise will be cut down to 1 hr)

Must be committed and coachable to improving their tennis game to try out for a school tennis team. (Must have a minimum of 4 players for 1.5 hr clinic, otherwise will be cut down to 1 hr)
• To reserve a court, you MUST have the Tennis Membership Add on in ADDITION to your regularly monthly Birmingham Y membership. These two memberships are different.
Tennis add on fee is... $11 for individual membership, $16 for two people membership, and $19 for family membership.
If you are interested in adding a Tennis Membership to your account please obtain a Membership Change Form from either the welcome center or contact the Business Office at email@example.com
If you would NOT like to add the tennis add on to your membership, you can NOT reserve a court, but may use our courts, if available. You will have to pay $7 guest fee, each time you come to play.
• All courts may be reserved for a maximum of 1.5 hours under one name. Any additional 30 minutes must be booked in another tennis membership's name.
A court reservation may be made up to one week in advance.
When booking a court, please have ready: You last name, first initial, and member number (the barcode located on the back of your scan card).
• If a Tennis Member decides to bring a guest, a tennis guest fee MUST be paid. The fee is $7 for the first 3 visits, then for the 4th-6th visit, they will have to pay additional Y day fee of $15 PLUS $7 for tennis guest fee...which is a TOTAL of $22.
A program-Y member is only allowed to come 6 times through out the year, unless get approval by the Tennis Director, Shelley Wirt.
Y members but WITHOUT the tennis add on will only have to pay $7 each time they decide to come and play. We highly encourage them to add tennis to membership if they come to play at least twice a month.
Tennis guests must be playing with a Y Tennis member, can't have 2 guest or 4 guests by themselves on the court without a tennis member.
