Traditional Camp
Campers will experience the adventure and excitement of the outdoors daily, meet new friends, and express their growing independence under the supervision of qualified and caring YMCA camp staff. Camp activities include games, sports, field trips, crafts, songs, skits, swimming, water activities, and much more. Please note, campers will be outdoors during most of the day except for inclement weather.
Specialty Camp
Specialty camps will provide opportunities to teach your child specific skills. Each camp focuses on a specific activity and helps your child learn and develop skills related to that activity. Part of each day will consist of activities that relate to a specific theme while other times will be spent doing traditional camp activities like
swimming, games, arts, and more.
Splash Camp
While spending more time at the pool than any other camp, our campers have daily swim lessons focusing on fundamentals at every swimming level. Campers soak up the sun while diving into a watery mix of fun and learning. Pool games and sports are a part of our daily activities, along with learning about aquatic safety and the different aspects of all things water. All safety and water activities are conducted by American Red Cross lifeguards and swim instructors to ensure the safest environment while around the water. Field trips for these camps are to various water complexes and outdoor aquatic facilities.
Sports Camp
Each of our sports camps includes three hours of daily instruction clinics, as well as practice and games. Sports fundamentals as well as skill building, team building, and sportsmanship are included in each of the fun sports during the summer. All camps are divided into age-appropriate groups based on ability. Some camps will complete the week with tournaments. Some sports are taught by outside professional instructors or coaches, while YMCA sports instructors will teach others. Each sports camp will include opportunities for skill development, recreational enjoyment, and swimming on most days.
