REGISTRATION IS NOW UNDERWAY!

You have choices for your children's care. Your children will find a world of opportunity, from new discoveries to new friends. You will enjoy peace of mind knowing that your child is in a high-quality, safe, supervised environment with a well trained, mature staff.
Children will be transported via YMCA school buses from school to the YMCA each day. The Northeast YMCA will also provide transportation on days your child is dismissed from school early.

At the Northeast YMCA, we understand some parents have to be at work earlier. Therefore, we offer Before School Care transporation services to all of the schools we service. Children may be dropped off at the YMCA as early as 6:00 a.m. The vans will leave the Branch at 7:00 a.m. each day.

Cost:  $25.00/week ; $20.00/week (Afterschool Participants ONLY)

Registration officially starts November 1, but you can starting planning now! This year's Christmas Camp will provide a sneak peak into Speciality Camps we will offer for Summer Camp 2010. We will have all of our activities on our website by November 1, 2009. Here are a few new and exciting camps your child will experience during his/her Christmas Break:

Dates Offered: December 18, 21 - 24, 28 - 31, 2009 & January 4, 2010
Cost: $83.00 (5 days) $15.00 (field trip fee/week)
*Parents participating in the Family Guidance program will pay double their Parent Fee

The Northeast YMCA Afterschool Care Program kicks off on August 7, 2009.  Parents can rest knowing their child is in a safe and fun environment where their child can grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.  Children are offered snacks upon their arrival to the Branch.  Each day your child will be engaged in activities such as Karate, Boy Scouts, Girls Inc. learning sessions, Indoor/Outdoor Games, and much more. We look forward to serving your family during the 2009-2010 school  year.  See you soon!       

After School Care Program Cost
This year, the Northeast YMCA is offering income-based tuition for those participants who are non-members.  Our member fee will remain $44.00 per week.  Our non-member rate will remain $60.00 per week.  If you are a non-member and wish to participate in the income-based tuition program, please contact the Northeast YMCA for more details. Those parents who participate in the Family Guidance program are not eligible for Financial Assistance.

Registration is now in progress for our Karate Classes. You do not have to be in the Afterschool Care Program to Participate. Classes will be held every Tuesday from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Northeast YMCA. Saturday classes are also available at Smith Middle School beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Classes begin September 7, 2009.

Cost: $40.00/month - Afterschool Participants
           $50.00/month - NON Afterschool Participants

Birmingham City Schools will have an early dismissal on Monday, October 19th. We will pick up the children at the time of dismissal.

Holiday Camps

We will provide Full Day Camps from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the dates listed below. All children must be registered by the Wednesday prior to the day of camp in order to participate. Please pack a lunch and your child's swim suit. There is no additional cost for current Afterschool Care Participants.  Again, all children must be registered by the Wednesday prior to the day of camp in order to participate

• Friday, October 30th - Birmingham City Schools
• Wednesday, November 11th - County and City Schools
• Monday, November 23rd - County Schools
• Tuesday, Novemeber 24th - County Schools
• Wednesday, November 25th - County and City Schools

Christian, Sun Valley Elementary, Arthur Elementary, Martha Gaskins Middle, Huffman Middle, Smith Middle, Huffman High, Ossie Ware Mitchell K-8 School, Robinson Elementary, *Tarrent Elementary, and *Parkway Christian.

*Must have at least 5 children enrolled in order to begin pick-up services

Our Afterschool program is open each day from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
