Off-Site Group X classes

We all get busy at lunch, and after work we rush out of the office, only to sit in traffic!  Why not have the Downtown YMCA Group X program come to your office?!  Lunch time classes and after work classes have been popular.  We have hosted these classes with 4 various firms and organizations and the populatiry is growing!  Classes offered are Yoga, Pilates and ZUMBA! and we'll be happy to bring more!

Schedule changes for October

How many Calories are you burning?

Want to know how many calories you burn?  Beginning in October, calorie ranges will be added to the schedule under your favorite classes!  Keep in mind that somedays we work harder than others.  These are ranges due to variance in intensities and body weight.

We want YOU to give feedback!

We want to survey the class participants for what YOU want on the schedule!  There are sign up sheets in each of the group X rooms at the stereos.  Please give us your name, email and the classes you enjoy participating in and will ask your ideas for future classes!  You can also email me the info at jcreamer@ymcabham.org   I look forward to hearing your ideas!



Need a Buddy?

Let's face it, joining a group exercise class for the first time can be intimidating.  Where to go, what to take, how to do it?  Everybody already seems to know everything.

We're here to help!  Jayme (Fitness Director), Shelly (Membership Director), and Andrew (Executive Director) all want to be your buddy.  We're at your disposal to look over the group exercise schedule and choose a class (or two or three) to try out together.  One of us will meet you prior to class, attend class with you and show you the ropes.  We'll do this as often as it takes until you're comfortable stepping into that class on you own.

If you're in need of a buddy, get in touch with one of us.  We want to hear from you!
