Why do your kids belong at the YMCA?
because We make our core values--caring, honesty, respect and responsibility--part of everything we do!
The key ingredient to a great camp is great counselors. We start by hiring counselors with excellent character, strong values, enthusiasm and experience working with kids.
Our counselors go thru 30 hours of training such as child developement, first aid, learning how to lead games, character development and conflict resolution. We also believe in having low camp staff/child ratios and a fun safe enviorment.
Our promise. No child is denied access due to inability to pay.
Our pledge. We are dedicated to making you and your child’s experiences at the Y extraordinary. At the end of the day, your child will come home with stories of a fun-filled and fabulous day!
Campers in our Summer Program get a unique, one-of-a-kind experience because at the Youth Center we offer a number of age-appropriate activities designed to build self-esteem, encourage togetherness & teamwork, and have tons of fun! It's never a dull moment at the Youth Center, so if you're looking for a safe place for your child to grow AND have a blast, you've found IT!
