Few jobs are as rewarding and you will be joining a profession that has existed for over two hundred years. It is a time-honored job that you will be proud to be a part of.
Participants must attend all classes and participate in all skill sessions. Additionally, participants must score a minimum of an 80% on two written exams and successfully complete three in water scenario tests. Unsuccessful completion of any of these conditions will result in failure of the class. No refunds will be issued if a participant fails the class, no exceptions.
Upon successful completion of the Lifeguard course, each participant will receive an American Red Cross Universal Certification indicating Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. This certification will be valid for 2 years, assuming the participant stays in good standing with the American Red Cross.
All candidates must be at least 15 years of age or older before the fist day of class.
All candidates must be able to successfully complete the following at the beginning of the first day of the course:
April 12-15 *No class on Easter Sunday*
Wed/Thurs/Fri 5 PM - 9 PM
Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM
Sunday 1 PM - 5 PM
All classes will be held Wednesday thru Sunday unless otherwise noted.
The cost of this class is $220, with an initial $70 nonrefundable deposit due at registration.The remaining balance of $150 will be due the first day of class after all prerequisites have been successfully completed.
If a participant is attending to become re-certified, the cost is $100. All participants looking to become re-certified must hold unexpired certifications through the American Red Cross.

The American Heart Association CPR/AED & First Aid course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. Participants must attend the entire class, demonstrate all skills correctly, and score an 84% of better on a thirty question written exam. Unsuccessful completion of any of these conditions will result in failure of the class. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will hold a CPR/AED & First Aid certification which will be valid for two years. No refunds will be issued if a participant fails the class, no exceptions.

Note: All classes will last 3-5 hours depending on class size and class participation.
The cost of the course is $60. Skills acquired in this course cannot be applied to a lifeguard certification.

Class dates are subject to change or cancelation due to participant numbers or conflicting events. A minimum of four (4) participants per class must be registered in order for the class to be held.
If a scheduled class is changed or canceled, notification will be made on the day prior to the class. Please make sure you list a proper email address when registering; class notifications will only be communicated via email.
