Lunches/Snacks/Water
Campers need to bring a lunch daily. Their will be days that lunches will be available for purchase. Please check campers activity schedule for those days. Please make sure your child brings drinks with their lunches and snacks daily. As you know, it gets very hot in the summer time. We will have several water coolers for campers to use to stay hydrated. We ask that the campers bring water bottles so they will be able to refill them as much as needed.
The YMCA will have water bottles available for purchase.
Swimming
Campers need to bring a swimsuit and towel to camp daily. Campers will swim daily, unless they are on a field trip. All campers will be supervised and life guarded by our extensively trained aquatics staff. Each child will have to take a swim test before entering the pool. If the child does not want to take or does not pass the swim test, they will have to wear a lifejacket(provided by the YMCA).
Day Camp swim lessons are held from 8:00 a.m-8:40 a.m Monday-Thursday. Campers must dressed for swim lessons and be at the YMCA at 7:45 a.m. The Aquatic Department will take kids to swim lessons and will return campers to camp once the lessons are over. If your child is registered for other swim lessons, it is the parent's responsibility to get your child to and from swim lessons.
