Aquatic Camps
Campers learn pool games and sports as well as aquatics safety while spending more time at the pool than any other camp. The Aquatics Camps cater to different age groups during different weeks of the summer making sure every camper has a chance to enjoy some wet, wild fun under the sun.
Four days of swim lessons are included in each aquatic camp. Campers will be outdoors most of the day except during inclement weather.

School is out & summer is here!!! Try this camp for a whole new summer experience focusing on innovative activities & awesome games, and we’ll have plenty of fun along the way. Backyard pool safety is the focus to give campers a better, safer way to play in and around the water.

Sports ‘n Splash
Entering 3-5 Grade
Game. Set. Match. Experience all kinds of sports this week with a BIG watery twist. Water basketball, volleyball, and water polo are just a few of the events that campers will enjoy in a friendly competitive atmosphere. Bring your water guns and water balloons on Friday for an all day water sporting adventure.

YMCA Splash Olympics
Entering 3-5 Grade
Swimmers, take your marks!!! The YMCA will host the 1st Annual Splash Camp Olympics. Campers will practice their proper swimming skills throughout the week to prepare for our swimming events to be held on Friday. Parents are welcome to come on Friday to cheer on their swimmer. Ribbons will be awarded to all campers for participation in the Olympic events. A pizza and cake party will conclude the week.

Rock the Boat
Entering K-2 Grade
All Aboard!!! Learn all there is about the different parts of a boat, on-board safety, and proper boat etiquette. Campers will participate in inflatable boat races while building life-size boats to be raced at the end of the week. Our daily swim lessons will include basic water rescue techniques.

Water Works
Entering 3-5 Grade
Beat the heat this summer at the YMCA’s two swimming pools and Alabama Adventure!!! Water slides, pool toys, and noodle races are a permanent fixture as we have fun under the sun. Our week revolves around water park safety and a Friday field trip to Alabama Adventure.

Ship’s Ahoy
Entering 3-5 Grade
Fasten your lifejacket!!! We are taking a trip around the world to discover far off lands only accessible by boat. Campers will learn about weather patterns, ocean currents and the dangers of swimming in the ocean. Inflatable boat & noodle races are just some of the water races conducted throughout the week.

Wet-n-Wild-FULL-FULL
Entering K-2 Grade
Go wild n’ crazy with this cool new camp! Campers will spend their days playing fun games at the pool, having water balloon fights, and doing wacky slip n’ slides. On Friday, campers can bring their favorite water gun to camp for an ultimate water war! You’ll have no trouble beating the heat with this wet n’ wild week.

Don’t look to stay dry this week!!! This is your last chance to catch the rays of summer camp at the YMCA. Prepare to swim, and flip all over the Y.

Day Camp Swim Lessons
Day Camp swim lesson are offered each morning at 7:45am. This time is set aside just for children enrolled in day camp. You will only be allowed to register for swim lessons if your child is registered for camp. Campers will not miss any scheduled camp activities. Please note: This is not a camp but an add-on to your child’s camp day.

These are our traditional lessons that are taught Monday-Thursday for two consecutive weeks.

Need swim lessons but not planning on attending two consecutive weeks of camp? This new option is for you. These swim lessons are taught in one week sessions Monday thru Thursday.
