Exercise is Medicine

Exercise prescriptions for healthy lifestyles

The fact is, ground breaking research has proven that exercise, at the correct intensity and duration, not only improves the quality of life but also decreases the incidence of chronic conditions that surround inactivity, overweight and obesity. Physical activity plays a vital role in the treatment and prevention of more than 40 chronic diseases including hypertension, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and even some cancers.  Our mission is to ensure that exercise is front and center in every disease prevention, health and wellness discussion.

Join us as we launch our "Talk about it: Exercise is Medicine!" campaign designed to encourage dialogue between physicians and their patients, about the importance of being active. Exercise is Medicine - this is good news for every segment of our nation, seniors to children.
