L.I.T. Program (Leader’s In Training)

This is for youth in 6-7 grade

Meetings are Monday and Wednesday after school

This program is designed to create opportunities for youth to begin learning the foundations of being a leader. They work on skills that will carry them into high school and beyond. They are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA, work on fitness skills and participate in some volunteer activities. This program is a great introduction to Leader’s Club.

Leader’s Club

This is for youth in 8-12 grade

Meetings are 1st & 3rd Monday at 5:30pm

This group uses the foundations they learned as an LIT and begin to build on it further. While learning additional leadership skills they will also be required to maintain a 2.5 GPA; pass a fitness test/challenge; and volunteer time to the YMCA and other community agencies. This group has been involved in raising funds for the /strongkidscampaign as well as funds for their own trips. This year we will spend time touring some of our local colleges, participating in mock interviews and basic childcare techniques. They spend time participating in some of the same trainings as our childcare staff.
MISSION: To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
VISION: We will lead our community to become the healthiest in America.
