Letter from Camp Leadership
Welcome to the Alabaster YMCA Summer Camp 2015. Our Theme this year “ Explore Play Grow”! As your child experiences sunshine, friends and laughter the staff at the YMCA wants you to know that they are working hard to bring even more to camp this year through more discoveries, adventures, friendships and fun.
The camp staff will work hard to ensure that your child is safe and active thru-out the summer while learning the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We will provide activities that will challenge and engage your child.
So whether you choose one week or ten it is our commitment to assist your child in having a great summer. Thank you for sending your child to our camp,

1:10 enter grades K-3
1:12 entering grades 4-8

Campers will experience the adventure and excitement of the outdoors daily, meet new friends, and express their growing independence under the supervision of qualified and caring YMCA camp staff. Camp activities include games, sports, field trips, crafts, songs, skits, swimming and water activities. Campers will be outdoors most of the day, except during inclement weather.
Make sure you register early for these exciting Adventures in
Camping. Space will be limited! There is a $50 deposit for each of these camps.
Our Sports Camps are designed to work on existing as well as new skills for the participants registered. Each day participants will spend time in the mornings working in skills clinics and in the afternoons they will swim and play games using the skills they worked on that morning. Camps are from 9-4 each day with an early drop off and late pick up option.
All participants should be brought to the YMCA no later than 8:30am to get ready for the day. Each camp is run by a Skills Coach, HS coach, or College coach/athlete.
Day Camp Swim Lessons
Day Camp Swim Lessons are offered in the mornings at 8:00am for 2 week sessions (Monday – Thursday of each week). Missed classes due to late arrivals will not be made up. Campers must be registered for two weeks of camp in order to attend day camp swim lessons. Campers will not miss any scheduled camp activities.
