Want a sport that challenges your child? Encourages team work? Want a place that promotes growth, exercise and is still fun?

The year just wouldn't be the same without the excitement and adventure of the YMCA in soccer program. This quality program teaches your child the basic fundamentals of the most simple yet hardest sport of soccer. Kicking, passing, dribbling, shooting and working in a team setting will be the fundamental lessons taught. Practice only once a week and games held every Saturday. this year, We are expanding our league; ages start at 3-4years old, K-1st, 2-3rd, 4-5th, 6-7th and 8-9th grade. Coaches are volunteer parents  and are prepared with a comprehensive e-learning training course.

Spring 2012 Season

Registration Dates: January 9th -February  11th

First Practice: Week of Feb 20

First Game: March 10th

Last Game: May 5th

Off Weeks MArch 19-25 (No Practice/ Game)

Age groups: 3-4(preK), K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, 6th-7th

Cost Age 3-1st grade:

$75.00 YMCA Members$115.00 Non-Members

Cost 2nd-7th grade:

$85.00 YMCA Members$125.00 Non-Members

Each player will need to bring a ball and shin guards to each practice. Players can wear any type of athletic shoes or cleats with no metal spikes. Players must also wear shin guards at every game. For a list of ball sizes for each age group please look below. Also, please take a moment to watch our parent orienation video below.

Grades Pre K-3rd: Size 3

Grades 4th-5th: Size 4

Grades 6th and up: Size 5

Coach's CDC Concussion Course

Please click the link below to take the online concussion awareness course. This course must be completed by all head and assistant coaches prior to the start of your first practice or game. Once you have completed the course please submit either an electronic copy or paper copy of your certificate to Trenae Leonard at tleonard@ymcabham.org, or drop it by the Alabaster YMCA front desk.
